MSG SPRING SYMPOSIUM
I've been involved with UC Berkeley's Microbiology Student Group (MSG) in various capacities throughout my graduate school tenure. This page highlights one event I was particularly proud of, the year I was head organizer of the spring symposium. This was the first year we held the meeting in the beautiful Li Ka Shing Center and it marks the birth of MSG's Twitter presence. I learned a tremendous amount about organizing a research symposium and was quite thankful to have a good team supporting me. Check out @UCBerkeley Micro or MSG's Facebook page for more info about the organization.

About This Event
The MSG Spring Symposium is an annual event that brings together students, faculty, and researchers to share and discuss the latest developments in microbiology. As the head organizer in 2013, I was responsible for coordinating speakers, managing logistics, and ensuring the event's success. This year was particularly special as we moved to the state-of-the-art Li Ka Shing Center and launched our Twitter presence to engage with the broader scientific community.
